I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor (mhc00383) in the state of Rhode Island. I earned a bachelors degree from Roger Williams University and a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from Hunter College Graduate School. During my graduate training I worked within a variety of clinical settings for both children and adults. Some of these settings include residential treatment and substance abuse facilities, schools and medical clinics treating children, teens, and young adults with attentional, behavioral, autistic spectrum, learning, mood and anxiety disorders.
I have worked for many years in both school and community mental health settings providing therapy to individuals and families. Most recently I was the Assistant director of Mount Pleasant Academy, a pediatric psychiatric day hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. In these settings, I provided play therapy services to children who have witnessed or experienced trauma, were struggling with life adjustment issues and coping with various behavioral problems and family dysfunction. I also provided therapuetic services to adults coping with serious trauma , anxiety, depression, transitional life issues, and significant loss.
